  • Clean up your boat.
  • Before you even return to the dock, have your crew pick up the trash, organize and stow equipment, make sure you know where everything is and what needs to be offloaded. Things will go smoothly if this is done in advance.
  • At the dock, tie up, offload equipment as necessary, clean up the boat. Leave the key in the boat and raise the engine if necessary, report on fuel level to dock staff and assist in refueling as necessary.
  • Ask if anything else needs to be done before gathering your belongings and heading out.
  • Leave the key in the boat!
